The first season of Competitive Proving Grounds will launch this week on March 24
in the weekly update.
Players will be able to individually enter matchmaking in 'Team Deathmatch' mode,'' battling each other for prestige and rewards. They will determine your average score as you win or lose competitive matches. Your ranking is defined by your score, just like the rewards you receive when the season ends. To participate, players must reach Level 1 in Proving Grounds., so make sure you start practicing before the season begins this week!
Season 1 will last approximately six months, and we'll share details about the end date (and end-of-season rewards) as the deadline approaches. While you will receive some items based on your final rank, most of the PvP rewards will be earned by accumulating coins through the Proving Grounds, which can be changed ina new vendors located in major cities. The vendor will have a combination of weekly rewards, Lost Ark gold, silver, and specific rewards for the entire season. The weekly rewards include finishing materials and EXP potions, While the prizes of all seasons include cosmetic and functional items, such as mounts, titles, and more. Players will be rewarded for progressing through tiers and levels with access to additional weekly finishing materials and other vendor items.
In addition to the current tiers and levels in Lost Ark since launch. As players increase their 'average competitive match score,' new ranks will be achieved as the below score thresholds are reached. The ranks players can get (based on "Average Competitive Match Score") are:
Grandmaster: Top rated thirty players in the area
Master: Ranks 31 to a hundred while in the region
Diamond: From 2000
Platinum: 1800 - 1999
Gold: 1600 - 1799
Silver: 1400 - 1599
Bronze: From 1399 downwards
Average Competitive Match Score will decrease if a player does not participate in Competitive Match for two weeks.
Like the existing Proving Grounds modes and other matchmaking activities, competitive matches will use region-based matchmaking and skill-based matchmaking for balance. For those who seek glory and rewards, The top 200 players from each region will be able to be seen on an in-game competitive match leaderboard! After the update, there will be a new tab on the Proving Grounds entry board in significant cities titled "Competitive Matches." In this tab, players can queue for matches and view the leaderboard.
Looking forward to the intense PvP battles to come, players will have more ways to earn finishing materials and see which players rise to the top of the rankings in each region. See you in Arkesia!
